The 7th grade had an exciting journey into the world of cells with our latest classroom project: Create Your Own Cell Model!   Students could choose to construct an animal or plant cell.   Each had to contain all the important organelles —nucleus, mitochondria, cell membrane, and more!

So of course, we had to take a few Cell-fies!  The project is a great way to show off the students’ understanding of the different parts of a cell and how they work together. Plus, it’s a chance to see how creative you can get while learning about one of the most important building blocks of life!

The students have enjoyed working on a puzzle in our classroom so much that we have decided to make it a regular, brain-break activity!    Here is the first one:  500 pieces of donuts!

Meet the Leafy Sea Dragon!
